Features, Release Notes & Transition Guide
NetSuite 2025.1 has arrived, bringing AI-driven automation, next-level integrations, and enhanced user experiences across finance, operations, and beyond. Whether you’re a CFO, NetSuite admin, or business leader, this release is rich in tools to boost efficiency and streamline workflows.
Release Timeline
The NetSuite 2025.1 rollout will occur in phases from February through April 2025. Release Preview environments are typically available about a month before your upgrade, but you can request early access via Setup > Company > Release Preview.
Key Features & Enhancements
1. SuiteProcurement: Embedded Indirect Purchasing
NetSuite introduces SuiteProcurement, an embedded indirect procurement solution powered by Oracle Business Network (OBN). This feature allows buyers to shop directly on suppliers’ e-commerce sites, such as Amazon Business and Staples Business Advantage, accessing volume discounts and automating approval processes. Once approved, purchase orders are automatically transmitted to vendors.
2. AI-Powered Narrative Reporting
Finance teams can now leverage NetSuite Narrative Reporting within the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) module. This feature uses generative AI to create narratives and explanations from financial and transactional data, reducing manual reporting efforts and improving accuracy.
3. Enhanced Bill Capture
NetSuite Bill Capture now provides better control and visibility. New features include reference number columns and duplicate detection warnings. New user notes are now carried over to the bill.
4. New Connectors for Salesforce, Shopify B2B, and Outlook
Three new NetSuite Connectors are available:
- Salesforce Connector: Synchronizes data between NetSuite and Salesforce, improving visibility into orders, invoices, payments, and customer insights.
- Shopify B2B Connector: Maps data between NetSuite and Shopify B2B, ensuring product, pricing, and customer data remain aligned.
- Microsoft Outlook Connector: Syncs emails and calendar events with NetSuite CRM, enhancing communication and productivity.
5. Manufacturing Enhancements
NetSuite 2025.1 introduces tools to streamline manufacturing processes:
- Manufacturing Scheduler SuiteApp: Assists in allocating work across multiple centers, considering constraints like operation duration and dependencies.
- Auto Serial Numbering SuiteApp: Automates serial number generation, improving traceability and reducing manual errors.
6. Field Service Management Improvements
Field technicians can now benefit from:
- Automated Time Bill Creation: Based on captured job start and end times, enabling accurate billing.
- Bulk File Uploads: Technicians can upload multiple files simultaneously via the mobile app, saving time on documentation.
7. Security and Compliance Updates
NetSuite is phasing out older authentication methods:
- End of SuiteSignOn (SSO) Support: Businesses must transition to NetSuite as an OIDC Provider for secure authentication.
- End of Support for RSA PKCSv1.5 (OAuth 2.0): OAuth 2.0 users must migrate to the RSA-PSS scheme to ensure compatibility.
